Boston, Leading Age, 2015 – HealthSignals slated to speak on WiFi in CCRCs, showcase connectivity solutions at LeadingAge Boston 2015 Conference and Expo
November 2nd, 2015 – Boston, MA
HealthSignals’ executive team has been selected to educate LeadingAge members and attendees in a panel discussion titled “Wi-Fi for CCRCs: Mistakes to Avoid”. They will be paired up with HealthSignals implementation partners, Beaumont retirement, Inglis House and Garden Spot Village to explore lessons learned, staff training and the advantages of campus-wide Wi-Fi.
HealthSignals co-founder Ravi Bala will moderate. Panel members include Andrew Dietzel, Director of Information Technology, Garden Spot Village, New Holland, PA; Bruce Weintraub, CEO, HealthSignals, King of Prussia, PA; Gavin Kerr, President and CEO, Inglis Foundation, Philadelphia, PA; and Robert Catalano, Director of Information Technology, Beaumont at Bryn Mawr, Bryn Mawr, PA. The discussion takes place on Tuesday, November 3rd from 3:30 to 5 PM.
Campus-wide WiFi is important in senior housing because today’s CCRC residents have become increasingly tech-savvy, a trend that will continue as baby boomers move in. They are bringing with them smartphones, tablets, and other connected devices that help remote family members stay close. At the same time, operations and medical staff need to have network access wherever they are working. Campus-wide Wi-Fi is no longer a perk that’s nice to have; it’s a necessity. Attendees the panel discussion will learn the most common planning mistakes to help their organizations navigate these trends successfully.
HealthSignals’ Ravi Bala has also been selected to coach startups in the 2015 Leading Age Hackfest, a 2-day event that challenges teams of 4-6 participants to “Engage with Age” by creating a technology-driven tool aimed at improving the lives of older adults and their families.
“I think it’s important for young entrepreneurs to engage with the problems of aging. We need to bring the two worlds of technology enabled radical solutions and Senior Living together and watch the magic happen.” said Bala. “I’m very much looking forward to guiding the team as they get creative about solving age-related problems.”
HealthSignals will also be showcasing their medical-grade Wi-Fi Internet connectivity solutions at the LeadingAge expo November 2nd-4th in booth 1268.
